Welcome to the Gaskell Memorial Hall, Silverdale, Lancashire.
The Gaskell Hall was opened in 1931 and is named after Elizabeth Gaskell, the novelist who regularly stayed in the village.
We have two main rooms that can be booked for a variety of activities and is used regularly by village and other groups for many events such as, yoga, pilates, Saturday coffee mornings, Village Players productions, line-dancing, country-dancing, badminton, W.I, community cinema; one-off parties, lectures, concerts, public meetings etc.
Main Hall - This can be used for Coffee Mornings, Parties, Dances, Community Cinema, Play productions and any other private functions you may wish to hold. Seating for up to 200.
Green Room - This can be used for conferences, meetings and smaller private functions. Seating for up to 40.
The Gaskell Hall, Silverdale has two kitchens and disabled accessible toilet facilities with a wheel chair lift between the two floors.
